The act of coloring beautifully represents the healing journey of the children and families we serve at Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center. Just as colors bring life to a blank page, our wraparound services, from forensic interviews to counseling and coordinated case investigations, restore hope and possibility to lives affected by abuse.

About the Artist
Carmen Menza is an interdisciplinary artist creating installations that combine light, painting, software, and music. Her work explores time, space, color, perception, and human connection. Menza has created installations for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Perot Museum, Meow Wolf, and more. She is a founding member of Texas Vignette, a nonprofit promoting women artists, and holds a BFA in jazz guitar performance from the University of North Texas.
Carmen’s coloring pages incorporate repeating elements to create harmony and balance, mirroring the stability we aim to restore in the lives of abused children. The circular patterns symbolize unity, reflecting our community’s collective strength in transforming young lives.
