Child Abuse Prevention Month

Join DCAC this April by helping us plant hope across Dallas County! Hosting a pinwheel garden is a simple and meaningful way to raise awareness for child abuse prevention and show your support for the children and families we serve.

Here’s how it works:

• Tell us how many garden locations you’re willing to host, along with each address and a contact person.

• During the last week of March, DCAC volunteers will deliver signs and 35 oversized pinwheels (approximately 18 inches high) and “plant” your garden for you. Prefer to do it yourself? We’ll drop off the supplies instead!

• During the first full week of May, our team will return to remove the garden—unless you’d like to keep your pinwheels to display longer.

Each garden includes a mission overview and recognition sign on an H-stake frame, similar to a standard yard sign. Together, these bright blue pinwheels help spark conversation and inspire action to protect every child.

Partner with DCAC this April to shine a light of hope across Dallas County. As a Pinwheel Garden Sponsor, your support helps plant thousands of pinwheels that raise awareness for child abuse prevention and celebrate the strength of our community’s children and families.

Sponsorships include:

• Logo recognition on signage displayed at Pinwheel Garden locations throughout Dallas County.

• Mention in all press-related opportunities surrounding the Pinwheel Garden initiative.

• Five “Pinwheels of Hope” personal yard signs to share with your employees or place at your office.

• Limited number of sponsorships available—reserve yours early to make the greatest impact.

Bring your family and friends to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with DCAC at the Comerica Kid Zone during the 2026 Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade! Enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere with dedicated bleacher seating, kid-friendly activities, fun giveaways, and easy ways to learn how you can help keep children safe—all while taking in one of Dallas’ favorite community traditions.

Grab your friends for a night out that’s all about big laughs, big prizes, and big impact for kids at Bingo for Bravery. Attend the event, sponsor a table, or make a donation if you can’t be there in person—every card played and every gift given helps DCAC provide critical services to child abuse victims and their families during Child Abuse Prevention Month and all year long.

Invite your church or place of worship to stand with children by dedicating a service to prayer, learning, and action around child abuse prevention—on National Blue Sunday or any date that best fits your tradition’s calendar. DCAC will provide simple talking points, awareness materials, and next steps so your congregation can lift up children, honor those who protect them, and help create a safer community for every child in Dallas County.
