What is Multidisciplinary Coordination?

DCAC’s Multidisciplinary Team brings together law enforcement, prosecutors, medical professionals, and child welfare experts to coordinate the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse cases in Dallas County. By fostering collaboration across agencies, the team ensures that every child and family receives comprehensive support and that cases progress efficiently.

MDT Coordination Services

Stronger Together

DCAC’s MDT Coordination Team acts as the hub for active case management, documents and updates cases, initiates investigations, and leads regular MDT collaboration meetings. MDT Coordinators communicate daily with more than 40 partner agencies, review new and ongoing cases, facilitate priority responses, and streamline service plans for victims, including those at high risk due to trafficking or other severe crimes.

DCAC’s MDT Coordination Team makes a direct impact on outcomes for child victims in Dallas County by keeping partners accountable and aligning agencies toward the shared goal of safety and justice.
