DCAC’s Clinical Services team provides a safe, welcoming space for children and families to begin recovering after experiences of criminal child abuse, severe neglect, trafficking, or witnessing a violent crime.
What are Clinical Services?
DCAC’s team of master’s- and doctoral-level therapists and clinical social workers offers evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy at no cost in English and Spanish.
Specialized therapy services available include:
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Problematic Sexual Behavior-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT)
- Child & Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI)
- Parent programs & groups
- Psychiatric care

Clinical Services
Every family entering DCAC receives individualized care using standardized assessments and collaborative planning. Therapists hold certifications in multiple evidence-based models, preparing them to address a wide range of trauma responses in children and adolescents. We offer individual, family, and group therapy in both English and Spanish, and specialized services such as psychiatric care, psychological evaluations, and parenting programs.

Need to report suspected child abuse?
Anyone who has reasonable cause to suspect that a child is a victim of abuse or neglect is required by Texas law to report their concerns immediately to the police or the Texas Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-252-5400.
