The holidays should be a season of joy, but for children healing from the trauma of criminal child abuse, this time of year can feel especially heavy. Through our Holiday of Hope program, DCAC helps lift that weight by surrounding kids with care, comfort, and the magic of the season.
Each child we serve, along with their siblings, receives:
- A brand-new reading book
- A cozy fuzzy blanket
- 5-6 thoughtfully chosen, age-appropriate gifts
- And for the whole family, 1–2 board games to enjoy together
These gifts go beyond toys. They remind children that they are not forgotten, and they bring families together with moments of connection, comfort, and hope.
Holiday of Hope is only possible because of the generosity of our community. Whether you host a toy drive, shop our wish lists, or make a financial contribution, you are helping restore joy for a child this holiday season.
Host a Toy Drive
Bring your friends, family, or coworkers together to collect brand-new, unwrapped toys for children at DCAC. It is a simple way to make a huge impact, and every toy donated helps bring light and joy to a child in need.
To make hosting even easier, our Community Toolkit includes everything you need: FAQs, gift ideas by age, media resources, and online wish lists.
Donate to Holiday of Hope
A gift of $250 provides one child’s complete set of gifts, including toys, a blanket, and a book. If $250 is not possible, every contribution matters. Your donation will be combined with others to ensure that every child receives something special this season.
