Thank you for your support of DCAC and Save Jane.
We recognize the fluidity of the COVID-19 virus and its impact on hosting events in public spaces. The safety of the children we serve requires that we keep our staff and partners healthy.
Following the guidelines released about social distancing and for the safety of the entire community as the novel coronavirus affects North Texas, we have made some hard, but necessary, decisions around our upcoming events and volunteer activities.
- Appetite for Advocacy, scheduled for March 27 is canceled. We look forward to sharing with you in the coming weeks some special features on our Appetite Award Recipients, Suellen Flores and the Junior League of Dallas.
- Save Jane, scheduled for April 1 & 2 at Klyde Warren Park is postponed and will be rescheduled.
- Volunteer activity in our building has been discontinued for now as we practice social distancing.
While disappointing, this is in the best interest of our clients, event attendees, volunteers, staff and partners.
Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center has always been the place where healing and safety begins for abused children – and your support is a key part of our ability to continue to provide our critical services. Please stay tuned for more details when Save Jane is rescheduled.
Join us again in 2020 as we read the 28,131 names of each and every child reported as abused in 2019. For 28 hours, we will replace real names with Jane Doe or John Doe to shine a light on the magnitude of child abuse in Dallas County.
