Explain your position with DCAC: I provide support to the Forensic Interview team in a variety of ways, some ways include; scheduling interviews, interpreting for partners, and scheduling transportation for families to make sure they can make it to the Center for their interview.
What led you to work at DCAC: I know several people that have gone through traumatic experiences, and never had the chance to come to a place like DCAC. Working here, I feel like families are getting the tools and answers they need to be able to support and help their child(ren) become stronger and succeed in their lives.
Tell me about someone who has influenced you or a mentor who has helped the most in your career: My mom is my biggest supporter, she has been both my mom and my dad to me for so long, as my dad is away in our home country. My mom has always pushed me to do what I enjoy and ultimately what makes me happy. Most importantly, she has always encouraged me to help others whenever I’m able.
How do you enjoy spending your time when you are not working: I mostly enjoy spending time with my family; my husband, mom, sister, and nephew are some of my favorite company. On the weekends, we do some shopping, try out new restaurants and sometimes simply relax at home, listening to good music and playing with our dog.
What is the one thing you are most proud of about your job: I am so amazed by the team I work for. They are always eager to help each other in any way possible and put in countless hours all to help the children we serve.
