Explain your position with DCAC: As a Children’s Programming Advocate, I manage waiting rooms and provide engaging, supportive, and psycho-education-based activities for every child that enters our building starting on their first day.
What led you to work at DCAC: I believe that childhood is one of the most significant parts of a person’s life, many times children do not have many people or anyone in their corner. I came to DCAC because I want to help children heal and be the person that child needs on one of their hardest days.
Tell me about someone who has influenced you or a mentor who has helped the most in your career: Both my mom and dad have always encouraged me to do what makes me happiest and given me unlimited support. I get my empathy from them.
How do you enjoy spending your time when you are not working: I love being with friends and family, watching The Office, traveling, eating at restaurants, and hanging by the pool.
What is the one thing you are most proud of about your job: Being a safe adult for the children that we serve.
