The Art: PEACE Series: "Come Rain or Come Shine Artist/Donor Name: Zach Saucedo Date of completion: 2007 Materials: Acrylic and Ink on Canvas Size: 36" x 48" Artist Bio: Let's get personal. I'm not going to try to fool you by writing a bio in third person. I'm an artist, always have been, always will. Originally from Phoenix, I started young with the blessings of an extremely talented mother who challenged me to be creative with everything I touch. Life passed, I tried many things that didn't fulfill me; sports, studied psychology in college, project managing, interior design, lighting, and so on. I eventually ended up in Dallas to aid in the opening of an innovative retail experience called Fusion Home Fashion with friends that invited me from Phoenix. Although it was an exciting and wonderful time, I soon felt like I needed to step further with my career as an artist and take the leap to become full-time with it. As I looked back at my life there were two constants that I could vividly see that were instrumental in my growth and progression.God and Art. So here I am. An Artist. So if God is Love, and love is truth, and truth is in expression, and art is expression, it all seems to fall into place, doesn't it? My work is and extension of the Love that I have and feel for all of humanity. It is meant to calm, to challenge, to invigorate, to inspire, to question, to offend, to do whatever else I feel directed to say. This is what I want you to know of my work, not where I've shown, what I call it, and how I do it.We can speak about that in person. And I hope we do.
