Artist Bio:  Originally from Dallas, Texas, Nic Nicosia currently lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Nicosia has recently exhibited at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Texas, the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery, Lincoln, Nebraska, SITE Santa Fe, New Mexico, the Ulrich Museum of Art, Wichita, Kansas, and CASA in Salamanca, Spain. He has the distinction of being included in two Whiteny Biennial Exhibitions in 1983 and 2000. Furthermore, Nicosia has garnered national attention through his inclusion in exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, Illinois, the Dallas Museum of Art, Texas, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Texas, and the Baltimore Museum of Art, Maryland. In addition to exhibiting in Documenta IX, Nicosia has exhibited extensively throughout Europe in such venues as the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, France, the Kunstverein Museum in Munich, Germany, and Groninger Museum in The Netherlands. His photgraphs and films are in the permanent collections of Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, California, the Dallas Museum of Art, Texas and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas.
